Uncovering Ways to Treat Yourself and Reasons to Do it...more than just cheat days and guilt-free binging!

pamper yourself for happier life tips
There has always been a certain segment of psychologically-rich lifestyle bloggers who talk a lot about treating yourself. I totally agree with this approach as a life-management skill. It is easy, too practical not to do and makes you feel better. Plus, you are not depending on anyone else. This self-pampering is rewarding yourself for something you stuck to, managed to be stoic when flowing with the moment was easy, could say NO when everyone expected you to nod your head...there are so many battles we fight each day and if we can make some rules and stick to them, the effort should be appreciated - by who?...YOU!

People will not stay with YOU, neither is the expectation real #wisen-up!

Think of me as a manager who brings a team-first perspective to the workplace, every day. However good that might sound, this is not really the best approach when you are working in a setup that has constant churning of resources, the exits are quick, often impromptu, seldom unplanned and you are essentially, almost on your own when it comes to doing something for the team. It has been a handful of years at my current stint and I believe that this duration has helped me grasp one big realization – you might have the best intentions for the team but it is not really wise to expect them to reciprocate the gesture. Why? Simple – the salary-for-work environment puts everyone in a certain place.

This question came to my mind when I was reading through an article about maintaining positivity at the workplace. This was another lifestyle blog, whose name I cannot remember now, in the cesspool of daily online publications that provide tips and preach about how to live a healthier life. However, there was this bit about animated, optimism-inducing text and images that should be present in all locations where you fight your most challenging moments of the day. At that moment, I hit Windows D and realize that my desktop was rather banal.

Using Coffee as a Workplace Management Tool

Coffee Drinking - Work Life Management
Agreed, most people at work need their daily fix – tea or coffee, helps them concentrate better, get through grinding schedules and give that instant shot of energy at the most crucial time. However, people are prone to using too much of it, especially coffee that is now becoming a staple at all levels of the workplace. Many people have developed an addiction to it while others seem to misuse it. For instance, Migraine pains is not something you want to deal with using caffeine. This can actually worsen the situation. Then there are people at work with acidity issues or bloating related to drinking too much of the pure or milked variety. Vending machines are often not clean and this is when too much of the same thing every day can open roads to an oncoming infection. I am trying to use coffee in a more constructive way:
